Here's my Story
Growing up, my life was a tapestry woven with the colours of nature’s grandeur. My childhood was shaped by my father’s work, leading to countless adventures across northern British Columbia. Memories of tearing through mud pits on four-wheelers, nights gathered around roaring bonfires, and encounters with wildlife were just the beginning of my lifelong love affair with exploration.
My family eventually settled in Williams Lake, where our home nestled amidst 14 acres of land bordered by endless stretches of wilderness. Here, I spent my days skating on our pond and uncovering hidden treasures like old trapper cabins and abandoned relics hidden in the woods.
My journey into outdoor sports began with mountain biking, evolving from a means of transportation to a source of exhilarating freedom. I immersed myself in the local biking community, participating in races, skills camps, and contributing to trail building efforts. Rock climbing soon captured my interest, expanding my horizons and deepening my passion for adventure.
Despite early career success and owning a lakeside bungalow by age 20, I felt a yearning for more. Dreams of epic travels, from road trips across British Columbia to motorcycle journeys to Patagonia, fueled my desire for exploration. Photography became my medium for capturing these adventures, while also teaching me the art of developing photos in a makeshift darkroom.
As my aspirations grew, so did the realization that a conventional life wasn’t for me. Despite lucrative job offers, my heart was set on freedom and adventure. I embraced living from my van, traversing continents, and embracing new passions like paragliding. From the dunes of Peru to the vast landscapes of North America, each adventure fueled my thirst for exploration and the freedom of the open road.
My journey stands as a testament to the power of following one’s dreams and forging one’s own path. From the rugged terrain of Northern BC to the far-flung corners of the globe, my story is one of exploration, passion, and the unwavering pursuit of freedom. It’s a reminder that the path less traveled, though challenging, offers unparalleled rewards of growth, freedom, and the joy of discovery.
